I've read Cynthia's other books her Purgatory Series. Loved those that I have read so far. This was different. Its some of her earlier work about 3 years ago I think. Anyways, I did enjoy this but I see the difference between her older writing and her current. I love how authors grow and although I liked this book I do like her newer work better. When I first started reading this one at first I was confused at what was going on. She enters a bar and bam they are to be mated/married. I would have liked a little background before that happened so I kinda knew what was going on. There were other times in the book where I felt a little lost. For instance her vampire clan I was clueless. So, this was a short book and I would have liked to have more details and development I did enjoy the read and there was a HEA.I have to say I really liked Jace..he was hot and sexy and mean! Not to her or anything but he's an alpha and definitely demands dominance and submission. Nobody crosses him and lives. He is who he is for a reason a tough SOB to be honest. However, very protective of Morgan I did find him sweet once or twice. Morgan is a tough vampire princess. A natural born vampire. She's tough in her own right. Very strong and commands submission in a way as well. She wont take any crap from anyone. Although she feared him at first everything happened really fast with them and they are very well matched. Even if vampires and werewolves are sorta at odds the demons pose a higher threat. They both work together and we see betrayal adn all kinds of fun stuff! LOL. Read it and you will enjoy it. I might read the rest of the series but I am not sure. They dont draw me as much as this book did.

There has never been a book by Cynthia Eden that I have not loved, including this short fast paced read.
Demons are escaping the gates of hell and slaying vampires, werewolves and humans alike. Morgan LaBeaux a rare pureblood vampire princess has agreed to make a deal with the alpha werewolf, Jace Vaughn, in exchange for his help in killing the demons and sending them back to hell. She believes this is the only way to protect her people from being slayed by the demons because they are not strong enough to defeat the demons alone.
Jace has been watching Morgan for years waiting for the time to claim her as his. He offers Morgan and her vampire nest protection against the demons as long as Morgan agrees to become his mate and share her blood with him.
I loved the relationship and chemistry between Morgan and Jace. Morgan is terrified of Jace and the wolves but is willing to do anything to stop her people from being slayed by the demons. Jace, the big strong alpha wolf will stop at nothing to claim Morgan and protect her. Now all he has to do is get Morgan to trust him.
This was a great short read and I highly recommend.
In the novella “Bound By Blood” we meet Morgan and Jace. They are both planning on using each other, but they end up falling in love. It’s an entertaining, quick read.
I wasn’t sure if it was really love or just lust mistaken as love, especially for Morgan. Jace at least knew of Morgan for many years before this story took place. Morgan, on the other hand, didn’t know of him, hadn’t seen him before, or anything. For her to jump so quickly from lust to love was a little strange.
Neither Jace or Morgan are particularly likable characters. I think they were developed well enough. They just didn’t ‘click’ with me. Perhaps it’s because there wasn’t enough time for me to really get attached to either of them.
There’s quite a bit of action. Even if the sex were taken out, it would stand as a good story.
Overall, I thought it was an enjoyable read. I hadn’t planned on reading this series because I normally have an aversion to anything that has to do with “mates,” in part because they tend to venture into territory I’m not comfortable with. This story wasn’t like that.
I stumbled upon “Bound By Blood” as a free download for the app, and I figured I’d give it a try since I have liked other books by Cynthia Eden. I’m glad I did.
I give this story a 4 star rating. (Basically a “B”)
I recommend it to people who like erotic (not nasty) paranormal romance with kick-ass werewolves and vampires.

I only highlighted 1 typo. There may be more, but I got so into the story I didn't notice them. I enjoyed it that much. Yes, there were areas that could have been better. A bit more depth into the bad guy, world build and character build would have been great, but..
There was a huge amount of action. What we got of the main characters was satisfying. The intimate scenes were hot, steamy and well written. The ending was On Fire intense.
I will definitely be following this series!
The suspense kept me completely involved.
